Description
This original artwork is part of my series titled ‘Together We Rise’ and ‘United We Stand,’ which were showcased during the Sydney 2022 ‘Welcome to the Yoniverse’ exhibition in collaboration with Sydney Mardi Gras.
In this particular piece, I celebrate the strength and beauty of sisterhood by portraying a row of yonis or vulvas of different shapes and sizes.
The intention behind this representation is to embrace and honor the diversity found within womanhood, highlighting the unique contributions that each individual brings to the collective sisterhood.
I have chosen to paint the artwork in a vibrant array of colors, reminiscent of the rainbow. This deliberate choice symbolizes the belief that the color of our skin does not determine our bond as sisters. By using the colours of the rainbow, I aim to convey the message that regardless of our individual skin tones, we are all interconnected and united as sisters.
The use of yonis as the central focus of this artwork United we Stand, challenges societal norms and encourages viewers to embrace and celebrate the diverse beauty of our bodies.
Through meticulous attention to detail and a dynamic composition, I have sought to create a sense of unity and strength within the artwork. Each yoni is adorned with vibrant colors, adding energy and vibrancy to the piece while celebrating the unique qualities of every woman.
I am thrilled to offer this artwork for sale, as it not only captivates visually but also carries a profound message of inclusivity, unity, and sisterhood.
It serves as a reminder to embrace and celebrate the beauty of our diversity, and to recognize that by supporting and uplifting one another, we all rise together
